Linda Widdel joined LISIS in November 2021 to obtain her doctoral studies in management. Supervised by Douglas Robinson and Allison Loconto, her dissertation focuses on social justice in blue food transitions.
She has been working as political scientist at the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research ISI since September 2020. Her work focuses on socio-technical sustainability transitions, and she has gained experience in multiple EU-funded research projects.
Linda Widdel holds a master’s degree in social sciences from the University of Helsinki and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich. In 2017, she spent a semester at the University of California, Berkeley. She wrote her master’s thesis on the decline of the German coal regime at ETH Zurich.
