Projet H2020 ISEED. « Inclusive Science and European Democracy ». Porté par l’Università Ca’Foscari (Venise).
Baptiste Bedessem is a sociologist and philosopher of science, researcher at INRAE. His work focuses on citizen engagement in the co-production of ecological, agricultural and environmental knowledge. His research focuses on citizen science and experimental approaches developed by farmers. He tries to understand how different forms of knowledge interact to product robust and useful knowledge and innovations for agroecological transitions. His works also interrogate the political outcomes of citizen participation in science : to what extent, and under which conditions, these interactions between researchers and (groups of) citizens may contribute to engage civil society in decision-making process (relative to biodiversity, food, or energy) and in transition pathways ?
Current research projects
Project PAYSAGES. « Co-constructing energy planning in democracy. Development and analysis of a citizen science initiative within two rural areas » (funded by the ADEME). Project Leader
Project H2020 ISEED. « Inclusive Science and European Democracy ». Led by the Università Ca’Foscari (Venise).
