Eve Fouilleux is Director of political science research at the CNRS.
She is a member of LISIS, a research fellow at the Environnements et Société department of the Centre de Coopération Internationale en Recherche Agronomique pour le Développement (CIRAD), and also works as a member of the MOISA UMR in Montpellier. Her theoretical work looks at the conditions, content, and conducting of public policy debates in the field of globalization, while her empirical work is mainly focused on regulation issues in the fields of agriculture, food, and natural resources. She analyses changes in regulatory frameworks and in national (France, different African countries), European, and international public policies, as well as the implementation of transnational private policies, which are often based on regimes of tripartite regulation that involve standardization activities (markets), certification, and accreditation. The different research projects and work that she is currently undertaking look at agroecology, organic agriculture, the bioeconomy, large-scale agricultural investments, and biodiversity protection.
