Gabrielle Bouleau is a political scientist at INRAE, LISIS.
Her research focuses on environmental policies and the greening of policies in France, Europe and the US. She documents how new environmental issues reach the political agenda and how they result in new political decisions, new compentences and new indicators.
Current research projects
• ITTECOP programme on “Fluvial infrastructures and biodiversity”. Analysis of biodiversity governance on waterways (Canal du Nord and future Canal Seine Nord Europe project)
• H2020 project “Digital water city”, on the use of digital solutions for urban water management. What information on the quality of bathing water changes for water users and water managers.
Teaching activities
• Workshop on “Water police” in the Master’s programme on public policies and action in sustainable development (PAPDD) at the Ecole des Ponts
• “Water policy” course in MS on environmental engineering at UPEC-ENPC.
Other responsibilities
• “Public policy adaptation” project leader in the EcoSocio department at INRAE
• Expert on “natural resource sustainable management” for Ministry of Environment
• Member of the scientific committee of the Seine Normandie Water Board
• Chairperson of the scientific committee of EFESE (French evaluation of ecosystems and ecosystem services)
