Academic interests and expertise:
- Sustainability transitions, grassroots innovations, entrepreneurship, agroecology, sustainable food systems, alternative food networks, permaculture and ecological design.
- I am an early career researcher in Management Science, focused on topics of sustainability transitions through social, technical and institutional innovations. My doctoral dissertation examines the construction of markets for agroecology in different theoretical and empirical contexts, seeking to understand the directionality of market-driven agroecological transitions through the interplay between structures, agency, and discourse. Prior to my doctoral research, I studied Political Science and History (BA), Biology (BS), and Organic Agriculture (MS) with an interdisciplinary specialization in Agroecology. Throughout this academic trajectory, which combined the social sciences with the life sciences, I progressively developed a diverse body of knowledge that ultimately led me to embrace an interdisciplinary approach to topics related to sustainability transition management in agri-food systems. I bring as well practical experience in consultancy, logistics, agronomic research and field sampling, customer service, qualitative fieldwork and data management.
